Anotace


The aim of the course is to equip students with basic knowledge of macroeconomic theories, to acquire chains of links, to understand and be able to explain the current economic reality and identify the causes of specific macroeconomic phenomena. The lectures are focused on the interpretation of fundamental concepts, contexts and analysis of macroeconomic problems and phenomena. Individual topics are practiced on the seminars.




Knowledge: The student knows and describes the basic macroeconomic variables and phenomena, he can analyze the basic mechanism of functioning of the national economy. Explains the macroeconomic cycle, macroeconomic equilibrium and economic fluctuations in the short and long run. It is able to define the main approaches to macroeconomic policy.



Skills: Students can search, classify and interpret macroeconomic data correctly, can consider variants of probable economic development. It can predict the consequences of economic development and economic policy measures for business practice.



General competencies: Student is able to work and to make decisions on his/her own, he/she is able to create and interpret his/her own opinions.
