Anotace

Having completed this course, students would be able to comprehend the work of animator in tourism. Discussed issues include information about leisure time services with an emphasis on animation in tourism. Students are familiar with designing animation activities, as well as with practical requirements to animators. Two thirds of the course are practical training in animation – student teams realize their own animation programs. This project work can be focused on various topics. After each animation program the animation team receives a feedback from participants and the teacher as well. The animation team has to incorporate suggestions for improvements to the prepared animation program into their animation script.


Knowledge: Students are able to describe leisure time services in tourism. Students are able to define the concept of animation and animator, they also can specify different types of animators and animation teams and are able to explain the principles of providing animation services in tourism with an emphasis on the principles of customer care. Students are able to describe the process of designing animation activities and they can explain direct and indirect economic benefits of animation to business tourism services.


Skills: Students are able to design various animation programs. Students can prepare an animation script.


General competence: Students will be familiar with the issues of animation services in tourism in Czech and also in an international context. Students are able to coordinate various team activities according to given instructions, they can effectively work together as a team and they are able to take responsibility for its results. Students are able to create a tourism product - animation program and they are able to critic its weaknesses and suggest improvements.
